Approach
Three factors, one curve.
Rational Root is named after a piece of mathematics, and the name is not ornamental. The mark is the cubic with rational roots −1, ½ and 2 — a curve produced by multiplying three linear factors together. It is also an accurate description of how the practice is built.
Three straight lines. Each one, alone, is unremarkable — a constant slope, no inflection, no shape. Multiply them and you get a curve with two interior lobes: the teal arch and the chartreuse trough that together form our mark. The shape does not exist in any of the factors. It only appears in the product.
The problem with buying one
Each of these, purchased alone, is a cost line.
Governance bought alone produces a document that is filed and not enforced. It satisfies an auditor for one cycle and then goes stale, because nothing in the environment is actually wired to it.
Managed services bought alone produce a stable, well-run environment with no stated purpose. Everything is patched and monitored, and nobody can say what the organization is permitted to do with any of it.
Agentic operations bought alone produce an impressive pilot that cannot be put into production, because the moment it touches real data, someone asks a governance question nobody prepared for.
The multiplication
Each pair produces something neither factor contains.
Combine governance with managed services and you get an enforced posture — policy that is actually implemented in identity, device and data controls, and therefore evidenceable to an insurer or a client.
Combine managed services with agentic operations and you get automation standing on ground you control. Agents inherit the reliability of the environment beneath them; identity and data structure decide whether an agent is useful or dangerous.
Combine governance with agentic operations and you get AI work that survives legal review, because the boundaries were drawn before anything was built inside them.
Combine all three and the returns stop being additive. That is the curve.
How we operate
Four commitments we will hold you to holding us to.
The smallest way to test any of this is one hour.
You do not have to accept the whole argument to start. The Context Capture hour is deliberately scoped so that it produces something durable on its own, whether or not you ever take a second step.
